The Wildbirds FAQ is the FAQ for the Usenet newsgroup, rec.birds, the gathering place of bird watchers on the Internet. The FAQ is divided into two parts, the first of which includes information pertinent to bird watchers and people interested in wild bird rehabilitation. Topics covered include, but are not limited to, the Annual Bird Counts, wild bird checklists, rare bird sightings, banded birds and supplies for bird watchers. The second part covers wild bird magazines and organizations, software and available Internet sites for checklists, information on and recommendations of all types of field guides (including, for example, on eggs) and recordings of bird sounds. Internet sites of interest to birders, including digitized images are also listed.
